The show's undulating wave of artistic athleticism is epitomized in the Chinese Pole act. Performers, some dressed in double-faced masks, others in lizard costumes, scatter up and down the poles, at times touching them with only one arm. With lightning-quick reflexes, it appears they've adopted the mannerisms of animals, climbing about onstage and on the theater's walls.
